Polestar is giving away a free Polestar Phone to customers who purchase the updated Polestar 4.

Polestar, the premium electric vehicle (EV) maker owned by Geely and Volvo Cars, officially launched the Polestar Phone on April 23, becoming the latest car company to launch a smartphone.
The Polestar Phone is available in just one option with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage and is priced at RMB 7,388 ($1,020).
The Polestar Phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is the chip used in mainstream flagship Android phones today.
The Polestar Phone packs a battery with a capacity of 5,050 mAh and supports 80 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging.
The device comes with a 6.79-inch screen with 2 K+ resolution supplied by BOE.
Polestar Phone is powered by Polestar Phone OS, which supports AI image search, image generation, knowledge query, and the ability to call out virtual assistants using the "mBack" button.
Polestar also launched the updated Polestar 4 at yesterday's event, and is giving away a free Polestar Phone to customers who purchase the EV.
The updated Polestar 4 is available in two options with starting prices of RMB 339,900 and RMB 399,900 respectively.
Nio (NYSE: NIO) releases its first Nio Phone on September 21, 2023, a high-end Android device with a starting price of RMB 6,499 yuan.
Nio emphasizes the interoperability between the Nio Phone and its automotive products, offering a range of features such as a smart car key that allows remote car control and more than 30 functions without the need for Internet connectivity.
The company has already begun giving away free phones as one of the selling points for its vehicles, with ads related to it visible on social media.
Earlier this month, Geely-backed parts supplier Ecarx Holdings said China's FAW will work with it to create a high-end smartphone for the Hongqi brand that will bring users the ultimate connected smart interaction experience.
