Neta Auto, a unit of Chinese electric vehicle (EV) company Hozon Auto, has taken a page from 's (NASDAQ: LI) interior design for the Neta L SUV, hoping that the model, which is due to start deliveries next month, will help it boost sales.

Neta shared multiple images of the Neta L's interior on Weibo today, saying that the model will offer a better "refrigerator, color TV, and big sofa."

The Neta L's on-board refrigerator supports a temperature adjustment range of -6 to 50 degrees Celsius, and its "color TVs" are two large 15.6-inch screens, Neta said.

The Neta L comes with a large sofa that supports 8-point massage, as well as one-touch switching to a zero-gravity seat, it said.

Neta hinted that the Neta L with these features will be priced at less than RMB 200,000 yuan ($27,800).

This is Neta's latest warm-up of the Neta L, showing the importance the company places on the model.

Hozon Auto CEO Yong Zhang said on March 7 that Neta will begin deliveries of the Neta L in April.

The Neta L is a five-seat mid-to-large size SUV with length, width and height of 4,770 mm, 1,900 mm and 1,660 mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,810 mm, a previous regulatory filing showed.

"Refrigerator, color TV, big sofa" is Li Auto's label, and these settings have been one of the major contributing factors that make its models sell well in China, and are being learned by more and more local automakers.

On December 29 last year, (NASDAQ: TSLA) posted a short video on Douyin titled "What to look for when buying an electric vehicle," ridiculing the refrigerators, color TVs and large sofas as superficial decoration.

Tesla didn't directly mention Li Auto at the time, but it was clearly targeting the company.

On January 25, Li Auto posted a video comparing the Li Mega's range test with Tesla's Model X, showing that its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model had better performance.

Li Auto said on Weibo at the time that its refrigerator, color TV, and big sofa were mocked by Tesla, so it decided to do that technology comparison.

Back to Neta, the brand has had a lukewarm sales performance over the past year, despite targeting the lower-mid segment.

In February, Neta delivered 6,085 vehicles, down 39.59 percent year-on-year and 39.34 percent from January's 10,032, due in part to the Chinese New Year holiday.
