The updated Song Pro DM-i continues to be offered in five variants, all with a price cut of RMB 20,000 to a starting price of RMB 109,800 yuan.

BYD has been updating a model almost every day this week, and now it's the turn of the hybrid Song Pro DM-i.
The new energy vehicle (NEV) maker today launched the Pro DM-i Glory Edition, which comes with a price cut of RMB 20,000 ($2,780) across the board from the previously available version.
BYD's Song family of models includes the Song L, Song Pro DM-i, and Song Max DM-i in the Dynasty series, and also the Song Plus DM-i and Song Plus EV in the Ocean series.
The Song L was only launched on December 15, and the Song Plus DM-i and Song Plus EV received the Glory Edition update yesterday. The Song Max DM-i has yet to be updated.
The updated Song Pro DM-i continues to be offered in five variants with starting prices of RMB 109,800, RMB 115,800, RMB 122,800, RMB 129,800, and RMB 139,800 respectively.
The model was previously offered in five variants with starting prices of RMB 129,800, RMB 135,800, RMB 142,800, RMB 149,800 and RMB 159,800 respectively.
The updated Song Pro DM-i measures 4,738 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,710 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,712 mm, which is slightly longer than the previous model on sale, which was 4,650 mm long.
Other specifications, including the powertrain, remain unchanged and the battery range is still offered in 71 km and 110 km options.
In addition to the price cut, BYD is also offering limited-time benefits to customers who purchase the Song Pro DM-i before March 31, including a RMB 2,500 trade-in subsidy.
The Song family of models has been BYD's top seller, selling 640,749 units in 2023, contributing 21 percent of BYD's annual NEV sales of 3,024,417 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
In January, BYD sold 201,493 NEVs, including 59,514 in the Song family.
BYD is expected to announce its February sales later today.
