Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) has the simplest product array of the major new Chinese car makers at the moment, with just three models on sale -- the Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9.

All three models are extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), essentially plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), with a starting price range of RMB 319,800 ($44,850) to RMB 459,800.

Li Auto will officially launch the Li Mega MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) on March 1, and deliveries will begin in early March. This will be its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model.

All models from (NYSE: NIO) and (NYSE: XPEV) are BEVs.

Li Auto offers three trim options for its models -- Air, Pro, and Max.

The Air version eliminates features including air suspension and electric doors, which allows for a lower price. The Li L7 and Li L8 currently have Air versions, while the Li L9, the flagship model, does not have the Air trim option.

Neither the Air nor Pro versions of Li Auto models have LiDAR and the smart driving chip is the Journey 5 from local chipmaker Horizon Robotics with 128 Tops of computing power.

The Max version comes with one AT128 LiDAR supplied by Hesai Technology and two Nvidia Orin X chips for a total computing power of 508 Tops.

The Air and Pro versions of Li Auto models support assisted driving on highways and city ring roads, while the Max version additionally supports urban roads.
