Nio delivered 15,959 vehicles in November, essentially flat from 16,074 in October, according to figures it released today.

The monthly deliveries were up 12.56 percent year-on-year while slightly down 0.72 percent from October.

The battery electric vehicle (BEV) maker delivered 10,545 SUVs and 5,414 sedans in November, according to its announcement.

Nio currently sells the ES8, ES7, ES6, EC7, EC6, ET7, ET5, and ET5 Touring, with the first five being SUVs and the last three sedans.

Nio's year-to-date deliveries stood at 142,026 units at the end of November, up 33.14 percent year-on-year. Its cumulative deliveries since inception were 431,582 units.

Nio will announce its third-quarter financial results on Tuesday, December 5, before the US markets open. It delivered 55,432 vehicles in the third quarter, slightly above the lower end of its guidance range of 55,000 to 57,000 units.

For the fourth quarter, Deutsche Bank analyst Edison Yu's team said in a research note yesterday that they expect a soft volume outlook in the mid-high 40,000 range.

Nio entered into partnerships with Changan Automobile and Geely Holding on battery swap business last month.

Next, the company will continue to promote cooperation with other car companies on battery swap, it said in a post on its WeChat account.

Earlier today, Nio announced the car purchase benefits it is offering this month, which are largely unchanged from last month, but with an additional 1 year of free access to NOP+ (Navigate on Pilot Plus) for customers who have previously taken delivery.

Nio added 16 showrooms and 138 swap stations globally in November, and as of November 30, it had 142 Nio Houses, 320 Nio Spaces, and 2,217 battery swap stations worldwide.

Nio founder, chairman, and CEO William Li outlined plans for organizational optimization in an internal letter on November 3 that will reduce positions by about 10 percent, which was scheduled to be completed in November.

Li said in an August 29 earnings call that the Nio brand will have no new product launches next year, but will have regular facelifts. Those words have reduced expectations for the upcoming Nio Day event.

However, Nio co-founder and president Qin Lihong said last month that the company will unveil new product and model at this year's Nio Day.

On August 13, a vote by Nio community users revealed Xi'an, Shaanxi province in northwest China, as the host city for Nio Day 2023. A date for the event has not yet been set.
