The company debuted the Zeekr 007 at the Guangzhou auto show today, and begun pre-sales of it at a starting price of RMB 229,900 yuan ($31,730).

Customers who pay RMB 1,000 to reserve the model before its official launch will receive a RMB 5,000 discount on their final payment, bringing the model's actual pre-sale starting price down to RMB 224,900.

The Zeekr 007 will officially go on sale and begin deliveries in January 2024, the company said.

Shortly after its brief media event at the Guangzhou auto show, Zeekr said the Zeekr 007 received more than 5,000 pre-orders in the first 30 minutes of pre-sales.

Based on Geely's SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture), the Zeekr 007 is a B-segment sedan and Zeekr's first model for the mainstream market.

Zeekr was founded in 2021 and currently delivers three models in China: Zeekr 001, Zeekr 009 and Zeekr X.

The Zeekr 001 is a shooting brake style SUV, the Zeekr 009 is an MPV, and the Zeekr X is a premium compact SUV, all of which are aimed at niche markets.

The Zeekr 007 measures 4,865 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and 1,450 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,928 mm.

The model will be available in rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, with the former being able to sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in as fast as 5.4 seconds and the latter in 2.84 seconds.

All versions of the Zeekr 007 are based on the 800 V high-voltage architecture for better range and faster charging.

The entry-level version of the Zeekr 007 has a CLTC range of 688 kilometers, while the long-range version reaches 870 kilometers.

The model can get a range of 610 km on a 15-minute charge.

The Zeekr 007 shares the large 7,200-ton die-casting machine with the Zeekr 009, resulting in a one-piece die-cast rear-end aluminum body, according to the company.

The one-piece die-casting process makes the vehicle significantly stiffer and reduces the number of parts by 84 and nearly 820 welds compared to traditional manufacturing processes, and this higher level of integration helps reduce vibration and noise.

The Zeekr 007's smart cockpit will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, the next generation of flagship cockpit chip after the Snapdragon 8155.

The model is equipped with Zeekr's in-house developed ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) functionality, the hardware of which consists of two Nvidia Drive Orin chips with a total computing power of 508 Tops.

It also has one LiDAR, 12 HD cameras, five millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultra-sonic radars.

Zeekr delivered a record 13,077 vehicles in October, up 29.2 percent year-on-year and up 8.5 percent from September.

From January through October, Zeekr delivered 92,105 vehicles, up 85.72 percent year-on-year. The company is aiming to double its deliveries this year from last year to about 140,000 vehicles.
