Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) will make its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, the Li Mega, officially unveiled and begin accepting reservations this Friday at the Guangzhou auto show.

Li Auto will participate in the Guangzhou auto show, which will be held from November 17 to November 26, and the Li Mega MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) will be unveiled at the event, the company announced today.

Li Auto will hold a press event at the show on November 17 from 9:20 am to 9:40 am Beijing time, when the Li Mega will start accepting pre-orders, it said.

Li Auto has previously shared some images of the Li Mega, showing the model designed to resemble the locomotive of a Chinese high-speed train.

"Li Auto reminds you that the high-speed train running on the road is about to pull into Guangzhou station," the company wrote on its social media accounts today.

The upcoming Guangzhou auto show will begin on Friday, with media days on November 17, professional visitor days from November 18 to November 19, and general public days from November 20 to November 26.

Li Auto's booth is located in Hall 18.2 on the second floor of zone D. Its local counterparts (NYSE: NIO) and (NYSE: XPEV) will also be attending the show, with booths located in Hall 17.2 and 20.2, respectively, both on the 2nd floor of zone D.

Li Auto currently has three models on sale, the five-seat Li L7, and the six-seat Li L8 and Li L9, all of which are extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), essentially plug-in hybrids.

The company plans to officially launch the Li Mega in December, and the BEV will be available in stores next January, with deliveries beginning in February, Li Auto announced at the Chengdu auto show in August.

Li Auto is confident that the Li Mega will be the highest-selling model in China priced at more than 500,000 yuan ($68,530), regardless of energy form or body style, the company has said several times before.

Li Auto is accelerating the construction of its charging network so that its first BEV model can have a good charging experience, aiming to have 300 supercharging stations by the end of the year and a cumulative total of 3,000 supercharging stations by 2025.

The company has previewed the Li Mega several times in the past two months, sharing a high-definition video in September and multiple images of the model's exterior last month.

Li Auto delivered a record 40,422 vehicles in October, with 15,525 Li L7s, 12,142 Li L8s and 12,756 Li L9s.
