The Hub will showcase all of Nio's models that have been launched in Europe and will support vehicle purchase, delivery, and maintenance.

Nio (NYSE: NIO) will begin trial operations of a new showroom in the Netherlands next week, as the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker continues to expand its presence in Europe.

Nio's first Nio Hub in the Netherlands, located in Breukelen, will go into trial operation on August 8, offering customers a full range of services, the Chinese EV company announced on July 29 on Weibo.

Customers will be able to experience all of Nio's models that have been released in Europe and participate in test drives at the facility, Nio said.

The Nio Hub supports vehicle purchase, delivery, and maintenance, and customers can also experience and purchase Nio Life products at the facility.

It's the latest move for Nio in the Netherlands, where it opened the first Nio House on March 23. The Nio House is located at Meent 80-84 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands' second-largest city, and Nio co-founder and president, Qin Lihong, attended the opening of the facility.

Nio House is Nio's flagship showroom, and in addition to displaying and selling vehicles, it is also a lifestyle space for Nio owners.

Nio opened its first Nio House in Norway on October 1, 2021, its first showroom in Europe.

As of June 30, Nio had 125 Nio Houses worldwide, including 119 in China and six overseas. Its smaller Nio Spaces totaled 271 worldwide, including 263 in China and eight overseas.

The company is expected to announce the number of global showrooms as of the end of July before it releases July delivery figures on August 1.

On May 26, Nio announced that the first battery swap station it built in Europe with Shell, the world's largest gasoline retailer, went live in Harmelen, the Netherlands.

In November 2021, Nio and Shell signed a strategic partnership agreement to collaborate on charging and battery swap facilities in China and Europe.

The two plan to jointly install 100 swap stations in China by 2025 and plan to operate pilot stations in Europe starting in 2022, according to a statement at the time.

As of July 28, Nio had 21 battery swap stations and eight charging stations in Europe, according to the company's latest data.
