BYD sold 193,655 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in February, including 191,664 passenger cars and 1,991 commercial vehicles, figures released by the company yesterday showed.
Song family models sold 52,400 units in February, BYD's highest sales in the month, contributing 27 percent of all its passenger car sales.
Song family sales in February were up 5.08 percent from 49,865 units in January and up 113.58 percent from 24,534 units in the same month last year.
The lineup has been BYD's top-selling model, with 481,607 units sold for the full year of 2022.
With 33,612 units sold in February, the BYD Yuan family was BYD's second highest sales contributor in February, up 275.43 percent year-on-year and up 44.69 percent from January.
The Qin family was the third highest contributor to BYD's sales in February at 30,540 units, up 24.64 percent year-on-year and 115.3 percent from January.
BYD Dolphin sales in February were 22,861 units, up 166.91 percent year-on-year and up 29.68 percent from January.
BYD Han family sedan sales in February were 12,344 units, up 32.87 percent year-on-year and up 1.06 percent from January.
The BYD Tang family sold 12,029 units in February, up 15.38 percent year-on-year and up 35.31 percent from January.
BYD Seal sold 7,754 units in February, up 17.17 percent from 5,043 units in January. The model went on sale on July 29, 2022.
The BYD Frigate 07 sold 6,429 units in February, which is a 27.48 percent improvement over the 5,043 units sold in January. The model went on sale on December 9, 2022.
BYD Destroyer 05 sales were 4,970 units in February, essentially unchanged from 4,966 units in January. The model went on sale on March 17, 2022.
