is building a new sedan for each of its Dynasty series and Ocean series, according to local media.

BYD is building two new sedans, one of which will be a higher-end sedan than its current flagship Han, according to local media.

Auto media outlet Yiche shared several spy photos of what is suspected to be BYD's new high-end sedan in a report on Monday, saying there are rumors that the model will be priced at over RMB 600,000 ($84,800).

The car could be based on BYD's latest e-Platform 3.0 and will have great hardware specifications and strong all-around performance, the report said.

Rumors suggest the car will be 5,100 mm in length and 3,100 mm in wheelbase, meaning it could be a mid-to-large-size sedan, comparable to the BMW 5 Series, the report said.

The CLTC range of the car's main sales model could be between 550-700 km or higher, and the top model could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds, the report said.

For reference, BYD's flagship sedan is currently the Han family, with cumulative deliveries of the model reaching 370,407 units between its launch in July 2020 and the end of October, according to data monitored by CnEVPost.

The BYD Han series is currently targeting a market priced at RMB 200,000-300,000.

In October, the BYD Han family sold 31,614 units, including 13,294 units of the all-electric Han EV and 18,320 units of the hybrid Han DM series.

In addition to a new premium sedan for that dynasty series, BYD also seems to be building a new sedan for its Ocean series.

Auto media outlet Xchuxing shared several spy photos of what is suspected to be the Destroyer 07 sedan in a report on Monday, saying that the car could be similar to the BYD Han in terms of body size.

Judging from the taillights, the model may be wider than the BYD Han, and the taillights may feature a new design, according to Xchuxing.

The car may not be unveiled this year and will probably have similar power to the BYD Han and a range that could be similar to the BYD Frigate 07, the report noted.

The Destroyer 07 is expected to be the new model in BYD's Destroyer series.

On March 17, BYD officially made the plug-in hybrid Destroyer 05, the first sedan in its Ocean series, available in China.

The model is offered in five versions with a subsidized price range of RMB 119,800 - RMB 155,800. Three of the versions have an NEDC pure electric range of 55 kilometers and two have 120 kilometers.
