The biennial Paris Motor Show is one of the world's most important auto shows, but the event was last held four years ago due to the Covid epidemic.

This year's event will take place from October 17 to 23, and BYD will have a booth of nearly 1,000 square meters in Hall 4 to bring its new energy technologies and new models to visitors.

"We have high respect for the European auto industry and its ecosystem, including design, R&D, manufacturing, sales, aftersales network, and services," said Michael Shu, General Manager and Managing Director, BYD Europe and International Cooperation Division.

BYD's strategy is to partner with established local dealers who share the company's vision and provide customer service, he said.

BYD's partner, Shell, participated in the launch event and the two jointly announced that they will provide a premium charging experience for BYD's European owners, including opening up access to approximately 300,000 Shell charging piles across Europe.

Prior to that show, BYD introduced the three battery electric vehicles (BEVs) to the European market at an online launch on September 28, saying they would be delivered to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.

Customers in France and the UK will also receive BYD's zero-emission vehicles by the end of this year. After that, more dealers will be appointed to support BYD's plan to cover all major European markets, BYD said last month.

The BYD Atto 3 was available for pre-order in Germany for 38,000 euros ($36,300) at last month's event. The BYD Han and Tang are both priced at 72,000 euros for pre-sale.

BYD said last month that all three models would be on display at the Paris Motor Show, with final market prices and vehicle specifications to be announced at that time. However, the company's press release today does not yet provide this information.
