Nio aims to have more than 1,300 battery swap stations in China by the end of this year.

Nio today put six new battery swap stations into operation in China, bringing the total to 1,103, 292 of which are located along highways.
The company announced this development while providing the latest data on its service, saying that Nio owners have enjoyed more than 12 million battery swap services to date.
These Nio battery swap stations provide an average of more than 30,000 battery swaps per day, with an average of one vehicle leaving these stations with a fully charged battery every 2.8 seconds.
To date, Nio's battery swap stations cover all provincial-level administrative regions in China, covering 208 cities.
A total of 64.13 percent of Nio owners have at least one battery swap station within 3 km of their home, according to data shared by Nio on its mobile app today.
Nio's battery swap stations allow vehicles to easily upgrade their batteries, in addition to providing a quick energy replenishment service. The company allows vehicle owners to upgrade their battery packs to larger capacities on a monthly or annual basis.
To date, Nio has provided battery upgrades to a cumulative total of more than 20,000 owners, it said today.
Nio aims to have more than 1,300 battery swap stations in China by the end of this year, and plans to have 4,000 stations worldwide by 2025.
In addition to the 1,103 battery swap stations, Nio currently has 1,004 supercharging stations in China, offering 5,367 supercharging piles.
It also has 877 destination charging stations with 5,470 charging piles and access to more than 570,000 third-party charging piles on the charging map.
