The images released by BYD show a clean design with a large center screen and a slightly smaller instrument screen inside the car.
After teasing the exterior of its highly anticipated Seal model several times, BYD (OTCMKTS: BYDDY, HKG: 1211) today unveiled the model's interior styling.
The images released by BYD show that the interior of the Seal model also takes on what the company calls a marine aesthetic, incorporating styles that include ripples and fluid.
Following are the images released by BYD:
These images show that the BYD Seal interior is simple and will feature a large center screen as well as a slightly smaller instrument screen.
Its gear mechanism appears to be a crystal gear knob, with a Tesla-like wireless charging area in front.
Information recently released by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showed that the length, width and height of the BYD Seal are 4,800 mm, 1,875 mm and 1,460 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm.
For comparison, the China-made Tesla Model 3 has a length, width and height of 4,694 mm, 1,850 mm and 1,443 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,875 mm.
The BYD Seal will be available in three range versions, with its standard range model equipped with a 150kW rear electric motor and a maximum combined range of 550km. Its long-range version is equipped with a 230kW rear electric motor and a maximum combined range of 700km.
The top trim 4WD version has a total front and rear motor power of 390kW, a maximum range of 650km and an acceleration time of 3.8 seconds from 0-100km/h.
Previous reports in local media said that BYD may debut the Seal model around the Beijing auto show, but with the show postponed because of Covid, it seems that the release of the model will also be later than previously expected.
As BYD reveals more and more information about the model, it is now getting closer to the official launch.
