Honda's first all-electric vehicle model in China, the e:NS1, will be available for pre-order on March 18 at 00:00, the Japanese automaker's joint venture in China, Dongfeng Honda said today.

Honda held a launch event for the company's electrification efforts in China last October 13, officially unveiling its pure electric vehicle brand e:N, where the "e" stands for Energize and Electric and the "N" refers to New and Next.

Two production models under the brand - Dongfeng Honda's e:NS1 and GAC Honda's e:NP1 - made their debut at the time, and they will be available in spring 2022.

In early January this year, Dongfeng Honda signed an investment agreement with Wuhan Economic Development Zone to build a new electric vehicle plant in Wuhan.

The plant will cover an area of 630,000 square meters and is scheduled to go into operation in 2024, with an initial base annual capacity of 120,000 vehicles.
