Nio put two new battery swap stations into operation Thursday, one in Xining and one in Taicang, bringing the total to 363.
The Nio battery swap station in Xining, the capital of Qinghai province in northwest China, is the first in the city and is currently the one with the highest altitude.
The station is located in a local Red Star Macalline mall. In February, Nio signed a partnership agreement with the furniture retail giant and real estate conglomerate to build 60 charging stations and battery swap stations.
The battery swap station in Xining is also a step for Nio Power North plan to enter Qinghai.
The Power North plan is an initiative announced by Nio at the Shanghai Auto Show in late April to improve the electric vehicle experience for customers in northern China.
Nio's new battery swap station in Taicang is its first in the city and the 11th in Jiangsu.
The company has 11 other supercharging stations in Jiangsu, eight destination charging stations and access to 8,553 third-party charging piles.
To date, Nio has 363 battery swap stations, 243 superchargers and 435 destination charging stations in China, with access to more than 390,000 third-party charging piles.
