BYD established a new company in Shenyang, North China's Liaoning province on Wednesday, following the establishment of a new company in Hefei, Anhui province on July 12.
Shenyang BYD Shengshi Luqi Automobile Sales Co was established on July 14 with a registered capital of RMB 1 million ($154,612), according to information from data provider Qichacha.
The company is 100 percent owned by BYD Auto Industry Co, according to Qichacha.
The company's business scope includes electric vehicle charging infrastructure operation, new energy vehicle used power battery recycling and utilization, used car brokerage, tram sales, and battery sales.
BYD is a leading company in China in new energy vehicle manufacturing, lithium battery, consumer electronics foundry, power semiconductor, new energy and new rail.
Up to now, BYD has more than 23,500 patents and ranked first in China in new energy vehicle sales for 8 consecutive years.
Hefei BYD Automotive Co was established on July 12 with a registered capital of RMB 1 billion, according to information from Qichacha.
The company's business scope includes manufacturing of auto parts and accessories, sales of new energy vehicles, and research and development of auto parts.
BYD sold 41,366 new energy vehicles in June, up 192 percent from the same month last year and 26 percent from May.
It sold 40,116 new energy passenger vehicles in June, including 20,016 pure electric vehicles and 20,100 plug-in hybrids.
