As 's dispute with a female owner remains unresolved, one of its competitors in China, Xpeng Motors, has been revealed to have suffered similar problems, although the company says it has been resolved.

On Saturday, a Weibo blogger with 5.37 million followers posted an image showing an P7 sedan parked in front of an Xpeng store with a banner for protesting on its body.

According to the banner, the owner complained that the car's "faulty brakes" nearly killed him and that the car had numerous quality problems for which no one had taken responsibility.

The image quickly went viral on Chinese social media in light of the highly watched dispute between Tesla and a female owner.

As of press time, the Weibo post had received 238 retweets and 155 comments.

Four hours later, however, the blogger posted a response from Xpeng, saying the incident occurred in early April and had been resolved at that time.

It was a customer complaint about the use of the vehicle that occurred in early April, and after the intervention and explanation of the technical service department, Xpeng has gained the acceptance and understanding of the customer, according to the response.

On April 19, at the Tesla booth at the Shanghai Auto Show, a female owner stood on the roof of a car wearing a T-shirt with the words translated as "Brake Failure" in protest, causing widespread concern.

To date, the dispute between Tesla and the owner remains unresolved.
