SAIC-GM-Wuling says its cumulative sales of small EVs exceed 300,000 units

SAIC-GM-Wuling announced on January 29 that cumulative sales of its Global Small Electric Vehicle (GSEV) products, Hongguang Mini EV, Baojun E300/E300Plus, Baojun E200, and Baojun E100 exceeded 300,000 units.

Among them, Hongguang Mini EV, the best-selling model, has exceeded 150,000 units in six months after its launch, and won the top spot in China's new energy sales for four consecutive months from September to December 2020.

By 2020, the total mileage of SAIC-GM-Wuling's small EVs reached 1,621,848,848km, which is equivalent to a reduction of 201,299,014Kg of carbon emissions, according to SAIC-GM-Wuling.

SAIC-GM-Wuling's average number of trips per vehicle is 968, and the average cost per 100 kilometers traveled is only RMB 6 ($0.93), the company said.

SAIC-GM-Wuling is the top-selling small EV in China, with cumulative sales of 174,005 units in 2020.

China's new energy vehicle market experienced a hot 2020, though that hotness was not equal, with certain companies appearing to be hotter than others.
