Electric car users will not consider buying fuel cars again, report says

Electric vehicle owners will not go back to gasoline cars, according to a recent J.D. Power study of US electric vehicle users.

The report points out that although pure electric cars are still immature and needed progress, the majority of pure electric car owners are still satisfied with their own cars. Even if they want to change their cars in the future, they will not consider fuel cars again, these consumers said.

J.D Power analyzed the luxury car and mass consumer model markets separately, investigating seven dimensions: range, range accuracy, public charging pile compatibility, costs, driving pleasure, the convenience of home charging, and quality reliability.

The results show that the majority of EV owners are no longer considering switching back to a fuel car, while they also say they don’t necessarily stay loyal to the brand of EV they brought.

Among the EVs, Tesla leads by a wide margin. The Kia Niro electric car also performed relatively well, becoming the best electric car for the mass market.

The reason electric car owners insist on electric cars is EV’s fewer costs and fewer parts for maintenance, compared to fuel cars. However, larger depreciation and shorter battery cycles are also concerns for EV consumers.
