Despite the fact that few travelers drive to Tibet, especially if you own an electric car, is determined to make the charging facilities it offers available to even those few owners.

The Chinese electric car maker announced on December 22 that it has opened 14 20kW fast-charging stations along the route from Chengdu to Mount Qomolangma, covering a distance of more than 2,900 kilometers.

These fast-charging stations start in Chengdu, 500 meters above sea level, and end in Mount Qomolangma, 5,200 meters above sea level.

This is Nio's latest move in the construction of charging stations.

On December 14, Nio signed a framework agreement with State Grid EV service, a subsidiary of State Grid Corporation, to build 100 charging stations and battery swap stations nationwide by 2021.

In November 2020, Nio delivered 5,291 new vehicles, exceeding 5,000 units after October, the fourth consecutive monthly record for the brand.

As of today, Nio has opened 190 stores nationwide, with a sales network covering 111 cities nationwide.

At the same time, Nio continues to build battery swap stations, and as of November, 164 battery swap stations have been built, providing over 1.32 million battery swap services to customers.
