Chery Automobile signed a comprehensive cooperation framework agreement with Huawei in Wuhu today, in which the two sides will cooperate in the fields of intelligent vehicle electronic and electrical architecture, intelligent network connection, intelligent cabin, in-vehicle computing and autonomous driving, and intelligent energy services.
The two sides will jointly study and explore innovative 5G application scenarios and carry out in-depth cooperation in 5G+V2X, vehicle-road coordination and autonomous driving, the companies said.
In addition, the two sides will also cooperate in big data infrastructure, storage, analysis, high-performance computing and informatization.
Huawei will join hands with Chery Automobile to focus on key ICT technologies, geared toward smart car scenarios and help Chery build good cars, said Wang Jun, president of Huawei Intelligent Vehicle Solutions BU.
Yin Tongyue, chairman of Chery Automobile, said he believed that the cooperation between Chery and Huawei could boost the business of both sides to take off and transform the car from a mechanical product to a software-based and intelligent product.
