Huawei today announced the Huawei autonomous driving solution ADN, which introduces AI into the full stack to create an automated driving network solution.
Huawei's Autonomous Driving Network (ADN) is a product planned, designed, and developed based on the core concepts of network minimalism and intelligent operation and maintenance (O&M), and accelerates the digital and intelligent transformation of telecom carriers by "giving intelligence to the network and a platform to O&M" through an open architecture with three layers of AI.
AND will realize automatic driving network through cloud+AI, network+AI, and network element+AI collaboration.
Cloud+AI refers to the integration of telecom AI knowledge assets in the cloud AI platform, rapid development of AI models, and synchronization of AI models to the network control layer.
Network + AI refers to the introduction of an AI inference framework, where the network control unit converts business intent into scenario-based solutions and deploys and implements them at the device layer.
And network element + AI refers to making the network real-time perceptible through built-in AI chips and sensors, enabling accelerated data acquisition and fast AI reasoning at the edge.
According to Huawei, the existing autopilot network faces difficulties such as complex business, complex operation and maintenance, and complex connectivity, while AND, an autopilot solution, will effectively improve operation and maintenance efficiency, resource utilization, energy efficiency, and user experience.
