Hengchi 1, the first model of Hengchi, the new energy vehicle brand of Evergrande Automobile, which has been rumored for a long time, has finally seen its real appearance.
The State Intellectual Property Office document shows a design patent drawing of the Hengchi 1, the first SUV model under the Hengchi brand.
According to the plan, the car will be unveiled this year and the full range of Hengchi products will go into full-scale production from 2021 onwards.
The new car may be positioned as a mid-size SUV, with a simple front-end design, slender headlights, a downcast Y-shape in the foglight area below, a gently depressed roof and a rising waistline similar to the Range Rover Evoque.
As an electric car, the Hengchi 1 has longer front and rear overhangs. Its C-pillar rear trim is larger and the window area is smaller, but the specific proportions will only be known after the actual car comes out.
It is worth mentioning that one of the main designers of the new car is Selipanov, who has designed the Bugatti Vision GT, Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 612 GTO and others.
At present, according to official information, Evergrande's car manufacturing is progressing smoothly, with production bases in Guangdong and Shanghai to be completed in the second half of this year and put into production in 2021.
