Beginning in the first quarter of 2020, Chinese video streaming app Bilibili will be accessible to all models, including the upcoming CyberTruck pickup, according to Pandaily.

When the driver and passengers are resting, they can enjoy the entertainment and leisure services provided by Tesla's on-board system. While they are waiting for the vehicle to be charged at the Tesla supercharging station, after parking the car and connecting to WiFi, users can watch videos from Bilibili on the car's big screen.

"The reason why Tesla introduced Bilibili into the on-board entertainment ecosystem is because of high user demand. As a leading cultural community for young people in China, Bilibili has a broad user base and unique product attributes." Tesla Product Engineering Director Wang Wenjia said.

On the other hand, Tesla CEO Elon Musk is very fond of the youth two-dimensional culture. We have many engineers who are also Bilibili users. Both parties have a strong resonance in cultural genes and user attributes, Wang said.

Wang Hao, Vice President of Bilibili's Technology Center commented on the collaboration with Tesla, “The inside of an automobile is going to become increasingly more of an entertainment opportunity. We are aware that Musk is serious about creating an in-car infotainment system that provides the most amount of fun you can have in a car, and creating fun is what Bilibili specializes in.”

On December 20, Tesla said that it will provide more video and gaming content to Chinese customers next year, and will provide online games on its vehicles for the first time.

Tesla showed off new entertainment features for its vehicles via an over-the-air upgrade today, adding three new games -- Happy Landlord, Happy Mahjong, and Happy Upgrade, and video streaming sites Youku and Bilibili. This upgrade is expected to be officially launched to Chinese car owners in the first quarter of next year.

Bilibili is a cartoon-focused video-streaming app in China that grows fast. It has a monthly active user of 128 million, according to its third-quarter financial report.

The company is a publicly listed company traded on NASDAQ under the ticket symbol “BILI”. The entertainment company's share price currently sits at $18.44 on Tuesday.
