BYD is planning to launch the Shark pickup in the domestic Chinese market after the model has already been rolled out in multiple overseas markets.

BYD launched the Shark in Mexico on May 14, 2024, and the pickup is already available in more markets including Brazil and Australia.

Tesla has denied that it plans to start selling the Cybertruck electric pickup truck in China on January 1, after recent rumors surfaced.

Tesla has completed an energy consumption filing for the Cybertruck in China and received an energy consumption label, reigniting speculation that the model could be introduced to the country.
