BYD plans to expand sales network coverage in Japan by opening mini dealerships and prepare for the launch of the Racco K-Car.

The Racco is BYD's fifth model in Japan, targeting a popular segment in the country.

BYD Japan's website today showcased the K-Car model, which will make its debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 starting October 30.

The Sealion 07 EV, locally renamed Sealion 7, is the 5,000th passenger car sold by BYD in Japan.

BYD registered a record 416 vehicles in Japan in May, with over 240 of them being the newly launched Sealion 7 electric SUV.

Zeekr is expected to enter Japan later this year, with the first available models being the right-hand-drive Zeekr X and Zeekr 009.
