The first GAC model equipped with Seyond's LiDAR products will enter mass production in 2026.

GAC will enter the Japanese market next summer with the launch of its Aion UT and Aion V EV models, Nikkei reported.

The Aion UT Super starts at RMB 89,900 ($12,630) including the battery pack, or RMB 49,900 under a battery rental plan.

The Aion i60 BEV starts at RMB 119,800 ($16,820), while the EREV variant starts at RMB 126,800.

The Aion i60 measures 4,685 mm in length and will be available in both EREV and BEV versions, according to a previous regulatory filing.

Qijing has appointed an industry veteran with over 25 years of automotive experience as CEO, responsible for strategy, product planning, and market expansion.

GAC said it will prioritize the new brand -- Qijing -- allocating superior resources to ensure its long-term development.

The Hyptec HL EREV is equipped with a 60-kWh Freevoy Battery provided by CATL, with a CLTC battery range of 350 km.

GAC claims its extended-range system will give vehicles abundant power even when battery levels are low.
