IM Motors claimed that the IM L6 is the first sedan in China with crab walk capability and will be powered by solid-state batteries to give a range of more than 1,000 kilometers.

A video shared by IM Motors shows the IM L6 completing a driverless moose test at 71 km/h with no one in the car.

The IM L6 will be built on a quasi-900 V high-voltage platform and will be the industry's first to feature ultra-fast-charging solid-state batteries in a production vehicle, IM Motors co-CEO said.

The joint venture plans to launch a new product, including NEVs, every three to six months starting this year, with two new products to be launched this year.

IM Motors has shared two videos showing the L6 being able to maneuver in tight spaces with the help of the smart chassis.

Rising Auto said all is well with it and will launch a new model in the middle of the year.

Employees at Rising Auto are expected to be laid off by more than 70 percent, while the remaining employees are likely to get a pay cut, according to local media.

The financing will be used for next-generation model development, smart driving technology development and entry into overseas markets.

More EV makers are betting that the shooting brake style will become a new trend in China.

The L7, IM Motors' first model, has been updated with its starting price cut by RMB 38,900, or 11.5 percent.
