Nio delivered a record 61,855 vehicles in the third quarter, within the guidance range of 61,000 to 63,000 vehicles.

The new brand will not use Audi's signature four-ring logo, but will instead use Audi's English name “AUDI” and will also launch a model to rival the Nio ET7, according to local media.

Li Auto had 11,400 insurance registrations last week, Xpeng 5,400, Zeekr 5,800, Leapmotor 8,200 and Aito 8,400.

Nio will develop the extended-range hybrid under sub-brand codenamed Firefly, stemming from suggestions by major investor Abu Dhabi investment firm CYVN Holdings, Reuters reported.

The Nio main brand delivered 16,657 vehicles in October, down 18.14 percent from September. Onvo delivered 4,319 vehicles in October, up 419.11 percent from September.

Nio has ramped up its car-buying incentives for this month, including increasing the free NOP+ access to 3 years from the previous 2 years, hoping to capitalize on the end-of-year peak season.

Nio president said the Firefly brand will be launched on Nio Day 2024, continuing the pure electric technology route.

Prior to Nio Day 2024, Nio will celebrate its 10th anniversary on November 25, and the two events share a common theme: Together & Further.

Nio Firefly will use extended-range hybrid powertrain and the product is expected to be launched in 2026, according to local media.
