Nio said the 999 units of the ET9's limited edition were sold out on the morning of December 22 Beijing time, with only the standard version now available.

The Firefly brand will rely on local partner outlets for sales in Europe, with construction costs for dedicated swap stations one-third those of Nio.

The Nio ET9 starts at RMB 660,000 under the BaaS battery rental model. Deliveries of the sedan are set to begin in March 2025.

The Firefly brand will be officially launched at Nio Day 2024 on December 21, when its first model will also be unveiled.
