In the second quarter, Nio Inc delivered 72,056 vehicles, within the guidance range of 72,000 to 75,000 vehicles.

Onvo's insurance registrations for last week were 3,790, the second-highest on record, up 16.98 percent from the previous week's 3,240.

Nio has reduced the cost of its optional 100-kWh pack by RMB 20,000 ($2,780), resulting in price cuts for all long-range versions of its current models.

The first models to be launched in these new markets will include vehicles from the Nio, Onvo, and Firefly brands.

The third-generation ES8 is currently the largest pure electric SUV in the Chinese market and also the model with the largest interior space in Nio's history.

Nio will hold a technology showcase event for the new ES8 on August 21, transitioning its first mass-produced vehicle to the third generation.

This applies to the L90 and L60, which currently have delivery wait times of 8-10 weeks and 4-6 weeks, respectively.

Onvo L90 had 2,093 insurance registrations last week, ranking second in China's weekly sales of large SUVs behind the Huawei-backed Aito M8 EREV, which recorded 3,690 units.
