CATL and GAC will deepen long-term cooperation in battery rental and joint station construction to fully advance CATL's Choco-Swap ecosystem.

The Aion UT Super starts at RMB 89,900 ($12,630) including the battery pack, or RMB 49,900 under a battery rental plan.

The Aion i60 BEV starts at RMB 119,800 ($16,820), while the EREV variant starts at RMB 126,800.

The Aion i60 measures 4,685 mm in length and will be available in both EREV and BEV versions, according to a previous regulatory filing.

The Hyptec HL EREV is equipped with a 60-kWh Freevoy Battery provided by CATL, with a CLTC battery range of 350 km.

GAC claims its extended-range system will give vehicles abundant power even when battery levels are low.

GAC will set up a CKD localized production project in Egypt, with mass production expected in the second half of 2026.

The battery swap business model is in line with China's carbon peak and carbon neutral strategies, and can solve EV charging difficulties, said GAC's chairman.

GAC plans to have GoMate in experimental use in some industries in 2025 and small-scale production in 2026.

GAC Aion launched the Aion Y Plus and Aion ES in Vietnam on October 15 and delivered the vehicles to the first local owners.
