Zhido will launch the Rainbow mini EV on April 18, its first model since rebranding.
Electric vehicle (EV) maker Zhido will launch the Rainbow mini EV on April 18, its first model after rebranding.
Founded in 2006, Zhido was one of China's first companies to get involved in the EV sector, and at one time was the market leader in pure electric mini EVs.
The company began to struggle after China's requirements for models eligible for EV subsidies increased, and it went bankrupt in 2005.
In March 2024, Zhido announced the completion of its recapitalization.
