The price war for power batteries is intensifying, with the world's two largest battery makers reportedly pushing battery costs down further.

In the January 1-14 period, Nio was 4,700, Xpeng 2,800, Li Auto 11,000 and Tesla 10,600 units.

The X9 is the highest-priced in Xpeng's product lineup and is seen as helping Xpeng improve gross margins.

The joint venture will manufacture and sell products including battery modules and outdoor battery cabinets, as well as build energy storage system projects there.

Li Auto has opened 2 flagship retail centers in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, with the facilities in Beijing and Shanghai set to debut later this month.
