- Xiaomi EV delivered 21,440 vehicles in March, with the new-generation SU7 sedan contributing 7,882 units.

Xiaomi EV delivered 21,440 vehicles in March as deliveries of the new-generation SU7 electric sedan reached 7,882 units, according to data released Thursday by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
That represents a 26.69% decline from a year earlier, but a 5.03% increase from the 20,414 units delivered in the previous month.
Earlier this week, Xiaomi EV said it delivered more than 20,000 vehicles in March, without disclosing the exact figure.
The month-on-month rebound in volume comes after the company was weighed down in February by the traditional Chinese New Year holiday and the transition period for the revamped SU7.
The YU7 SUV contributed 13,558 deliveries in March, dropping 32.87% from 20,196 vehicles in February. It accounted for 63.24% of total sales, remaining the company's pillar model.
The new-generation SU7 was officially launched on March 19, with initial deliveries commencing on March 23.
The model saw 7,882 units delivered in March, tumbling 73.05% year-on-year, but surging more than 3,515% from just 218 vehicles in February.
Locked-in orders for the new-generation SU7 have surpassed 40,000 units, Xiaomi's founder, chairman and CEO Lei Jun revealed during an online livestream event in early April.
To achieve its rapid delivery pace, Xiaomi EV began production preparations ahead of the official launch and pre-manufactured a batch of inventory vehicles.
The starting price for the standard SU7 is set at 219,900 yuan ($32,210), a pricing strategy that continues to pile pressure on major rivals such as Tesla.
In the broader Chinese passenger car market, domestic retail sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) recorded 848,000 units in March, surging 82.6% from February but falling 14.4% year-on-year, according to CPCA data.
Xiaomi has set an ambitious full-year vehicle delivery target of 550,000 units for 2026, after delivering 411,837 cars in 2025.
