BYD's premium brand Denza started pre-sales of the N8L flash charging edition in China on Friday, following the pre-sales of another flash charging model earlier this week.
The pre-sales price range for the N8L flash charging edition is set between 350,000 yuan ($51,210) and 400,000 yuan.
Customers who place orders during the pre-sales period will enjoy up to 18 months of free flash charging rights.
The large six-seater SUV comes standard with BYD's latest second-generation Blade Battery and is equipped with charging technology supporting up to 1,500 kilowatts of power.
Powered by the new flash charging technology, the vehicle can charge from 10% to 97% in just nine minutes, while charging from 10% to 70% takes only five minutes.
The hybrid model is equipped with a 75.26-kWh battery pack, delivering a pure electric range of up to 430 kilometers.
The N8L flash charging edition features a 2.0T hybrid system, enabling a zero-to-100 kilometers per hour acceleration time of just over three seconds.
The new car adopts the e3 intelligent vehicle control technology platform and is equipped with the DiSus-A body control system, supporting functions such as compass turn and intelligent crab walk.
The vehicle also features comprehensive upgrades in safety performance, equipped with advanced technologies including the God's Eye 5.0 advanced driving assistance system and automatic emergency braking (AEB).
This is the second flash charging model introduced by the Denza brand this week, after the flagship N9 flash charging edition started pre-sales on April 7 with a price range of 450,000 yuan to 500,000 yuan.
This intensive product release initiative indicates that BYD is continuously updating its existing models with the latest technologies to enhance product competitiveness.
BYD unveiled its second-generation Blade Battery and new flash charging technology in early March, bringing an EV charging experience comparable to refueling.
Late last month, Denza started pre-sales for its second-generation D9 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), updating the brand's most important model.
