- Geely Galaxy M7 pre-sales start at 139,800 yuan ($20,450), targeting the highly competitive mass market.
- The PHEV model features a pure electric range of up to 225 kilometers and a combined range of 1,730 kilometers.

Geely Auto's sub-brand Geely Galaxy has started pre-sales for the M7 on Thursday, a hybrid SUV (sport utility vehicle) designed to help the brand regain sales momentum in China's fiercely competitive mass market.
The model has three variants in pre-sales, with starting prices of 139,800 yuan ($20,450), 146,800 yuan, and 156,800 yuan, respectively.
The mid-size SUV measures 4,770 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm.
The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5 L Leishen EM super hybrid engine, delivering a maximum power of 82 kilowatts and a thermal efficiency of 47.26%.
The M7 offers two battery pack options of 18.4 kWh and 29.8 kWh, providing a maximum pure electric range of 225 kilometers under the CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle) conditions.
With a full tank and a fully charged battery, its combined range reaches 1,730 kilometers.
The vehicle supports ultra-fast charging, requiring about 15 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.
The M7 is equipped with the Flyme Auto 2 smart cockpit system and the G-ASD (Geely Afari Smart Driving) H3 smart driving system, supporting navigation assistance on highways and elevated roads.
The new model cuts into the highly price-sensitive 100,000 to 150,000 yuan family car segment, attempting to challenge the existing market landscape.
This price range has long been dominated by models like BYD's Song series, and Geely is trying to grab a share of the market.
The pre-sales of the M7 comes as plug-in hybrid electric vehicles have become Geely's core growth engine in its domestic market.
Although Geely's plug-in hybrid sales surged in March, the overall sales of the Geely Galaxy brand fell by 8.09% year-on-year, marking the brand's third consecutive month of year-on-year sales decline.
