Avatr Technology, an electric vehicle (EV) maker backed by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, has launched the updated Avatr 12 sedan and opened pre-sales for the new Avatr 06T model, further expanding its product lineup.
The new Avatr 12 was rolled out on Wednesday and offers battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) options, including five BEV and two EREV variants.
The five BEV variants are priced at 303,900 yuan ($44,450), 323,900 yuan, 353,900 yuan, 383,900 yuan, and 433,900 yuan, respectively. The PHEV variants start at 293,900 yuan and 313,900 yuan.
The premium model comes standard with Huawei's 896-channel LiDAR — the highest specification globally — and is equipped with the HarmonySpace smart cockpit system.
The Avatr 12 features the latest distributed electric drive technology named Taihang, enabling its tri-motor pure electric version to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in as fast as 2.71 seconds.
Meanwhile, the EV maker has officially opened pre-sales for the all-new Avatr 06T model, offering four variants, with only one being an extended-range version.
Pre-sales prices for the BEV variants of the sports wagon are 229,900 yuan, 249,900 yuan, and 279,900 yuan. The extended-range version starts at 249,900 yuan.
The model is a sister car to the Avatr 06, the brand's fourth mass-produced model, which initially launched in April 2025.
The Avatr 06 currently offers EREV and BEV versions, starting at 209,900 yuan and 219,900 yuan, respectively.
The Avatr 06T marks the EV brand's first foray into the wagon segment, with the new car slated to officially launch on April 22.
The model also offers both pure electric and extended-range options, with the pure electric version boasting a driving range of over 740 kilometers.
The brand's intensive product roll-out comes at a crucial financial juncture. Avatr filed for a Hong Kong initial public offering late last year, with the listing expected to be completed in the second quarter.
