- The M7, the second SUV in the Geely Galaxy M series, is expected to target the 100,000 yuan ($14,530) to 150,000 yuan price segment.

Geely Galaxy, a sub-brand of Geely Auto, will officially kick off pre-sales for its new M7 mid-size hybrid sport utility vehicle on April 9, following the model's debut last month.
Geely Galaxy announced the schedule on Tuesday, with the hybrid model expected to be officially launched in the Chinese domestic market in late April.
The mid-size SUV measures 4,770 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm.
Powered by a hybrid system consisting of a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine and a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, it is the second SUV in the Geely Galaxy M series.
As a new product, the vehicle is equipped with either an 18.4-kWh or 29.8-kWh battery pack, delivering a maximum CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle) battery range of 225 kilometers.
With a fully fueled tank and a fully charged battery, the hybrid SUV boasts a combined CLTC range of 1,730 kilometers.
The M7 is widely expected to tap into the highly price-sensitive 100,000 yuan ($14,530) to 150,000 yuan segment, as the brand seeks to regain growth momentum in China's fiercely competitive mass market.
To further appeal to tech-savvy consumers, the new car features a Flyme smart cockpit and is equipped with a new-generation advanced smart driving assistance solution.
Named G-ASD (Geely Afari Smart Driving) H3, the assisted driving system is claimed to enable navigation assistance covering 100% of complex road conditions on highways and elevated roads.
No official pricing information has been formally disclosed yet, though the final price of the new model is expected to be significantly lower than the previously launched M9, which sells for about 173,800 yuan after discounts.
On March 5, the first mass-produced M7 officially rolled off the assembly line at a battery subsidiary base in Quzhou.
This marks a milestone for Geely Galaxy, having achieved a cumulative production of 2 million vehicles in a brief time window of just 37 months since its inception.
Geely Galaxy sold 82,744 vehicles in March, down 8.09% year-on-year, although representing a 13.15% increase from the previous month, according to data released by Geely earlier this month.
This marks the brand's third consecutive month of year-on-year sales decline, a stark departure from the rapid growth seen over the past year.
