- The 2026 L90 SUV will be available in versions equipped with LiDAR, offering enhanced smart driving capabilities.
- The updated model aims to consolidate Onvo's recovery momentum in China's fiercely competitive EV market, following 6,877 deliveries in March.

Nio Inc's sub-brand Onvo will officially launch the 2026 L90 SUV (sport utility vehicle) on April 21, featuring major upgrades to its smart driving system.
Local automotive media outlet Yiche first reported the date on Friday, and Onvo subsequently shared the arrangement on Weibo.
When Nio announced its March delivery figures on Wednesday, it mentioned that the 2026 model year of the Onvo L90 would introduce a new flagship smart driving version equipped with LiDAR.
Onvo's all-new L80 SUV is also hitting the market soon, Nio added at the time.
The cost of the updated L90 has increased by about 10,000 yuan ($1,450) due to rising prices of components such as high-performance memory in recent years, Onvo's head of product Eric Yu said on Weibo earlier this week.
The currently available Onvo L90 offers six options across six- and seven-seat configurations, with starting prices ranging from 265,800 yuan to 299,800 yuan.
Despite adding the higher-end LiDAR option, Onvo will continue to sell the L90 SUV utilizing a pure-vision smart driving system.
Following the delivery of the LiDAR versions, Onvo plans to roll out a major system update for the pure-vision models, including the introduction of an end-to-end model to enhance its driver assist.
The upgraded 2026 L90 is also expected to offer dual-tone exterior colors and new wheel rim options for consumers, aiming to further boost the product's appeal.
The impending roll-out of the updated model comes as the Onvo brand seeks to maintain its sales momentum in China's hyper-competitive mass-market EV sector.
In March, the Onvo brand delivered a total of 6,877 new cars, achieving a 130.7% month-on-month surge and a 42.7% year-on-year increase.
Of those, the L90 large SUV contributed 3,360 deliveries in March, staging a 155.1% sales rebound from a sluggish February.
Since officially commencing deliveries in August last year, cumulative deliveries of the Onvo L90 have reached 49,527 units.
Onvo is also preparing to expand its product lineup, with full details of the all-new five-seat L80 SUV scheduled to be officially released in late April.
Furthermore, Onvo has reportedly restarted the development of two new mass-market models priced in the 200,000-yuan range, in a bid to further bolster overall sales in the future.
