Li Auto delivered 41,053 vehicles in March, recording a 12% year-on-year increase and a 55.38% jump from February, marking a significant improvement in sales momentum.

In the first quarter, Li Auto delivered a total of 95,142 vehicles. This represents a 2.45% year-on-year growth, despite a 12.87% decline from the fourth quarter of last year.

The quarterly deliveries exceeded the upper end of the company's previous guidance range of 85,000 to 90,000 units.

Monthly deliveries of the Li i6 electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) surpassed 24,000 units in March as production bottlenecks were finally resolved, Li Auto said in a statement.

This provides initial support for the company to achieve its 20% annual growth target in 2026.

This sales recovery occurs during a difficult period when the company barely maintained profitability.

Li Auto's net profit in the fourth quarter was only 20.2 million yuan ($2.93 million). The company's total revenue for the fourth quarter was 28.8 billion yuan, a 35.0% drop from the same period in 2024.

It still recorded an operating loss of 442.6 million yuan in the fourth quarter, highlighting ongoing challenges.

To reverse last year's sales slump, Li Auto plans to officially launch the all-new Li L9 series in the second quarter of this year.

High hopes are placed on this new model to help the company regain its leading position in the flagship SUV market.

Last month, Li Auto announced a share buyback program of up to $1 billion to rescue its depressed valuation. This is the company's first share buyback since its US listing in July 2020.

As of the end of 2025, Li Auto's cash reserves stood at 101.2 billion yuan. The ample cash flow could help the company survive the current industry winter and repair its damaged profitability.

As of March 31, Li Auto had 517 retail stores in 160 cities, and operated 552 servicing centers and authorized servicing shops in 223 cities.

The company also operated 4,057 super charging stations equipped with 22,439 charging stalls in China.
