Lotus Technology, the luxury electric vehicle maker majority-owned by Geely Holding, officially launched the Lotus For Me hybrid sport utility vehicle (SUV) in China to expand its product lineup.
The Lotus For Me hit the Chinese market on Sunday, offering two trims with a starting price of 508,000 yuan ($73,500).
The model, among the highest-priced in the Chinese market, will officially begin deliveries on Monday, March 30.
The Standard edition starts at 508,000 yuan, while the higher-spec SE special edition is priced at 558,000 yuan.
The new vehicle is the first model built on Lotus's global super hybrid architecture and utilizes a 900-volt high-voltage platform.
It is equipped with a 70-kWh battery pack manufactured by CATL, enabling the vehicle to provide a pure electric range of up to 420 kilometers under CLTC conditions.
The For Me hybrid SUV features a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and dual electric motors, delivering a peak output of up to 939 horsepower.
The robust power output allows the vehicle to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.3 seconds. Even with only 10% battery remaining, it can reach 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
The model supports 6C ultra-fast charging technology, taking just eight minutes to charge from 30% to 80%. With a full tank and a fully charged battery, the SUV's combined range exceeds 1,416 kilometers.
It comes standard with Nvidia's Thor computing chip and hidden LiDAR to support advanced driver-assistance systems.
Lotus said that the For Me is specifically designed for consumers embracing family life and seeking balance. The model is known as the Eletre X in overseas markets.
The vehicle allows drivers to cater to their families without sacrificing driving pleasure.
It will compete with plug-in hybrid SUVs from traditional luxury brands such as Porsche.
