The company said this is currently the longest range among large pure electric SUVs globally. The new vehicle also features megawatt-level flash-charging technology to reduce charging time.

The vehicle adopts a 1,000-volt high-voltage architecture. It only takes five minutes to charge enough power for daily commuting needs.

In terms of performance, the four-wheel-drive version accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.9 seconds.

The Datang measures over 5.2 meters in length with a wheelbase of 3,130 millimeters. It features a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout, highlighting a spacious interior cabin.

The interior is equipped with a 3-nanometer cockpit chip and a 27-speaker audio system. The second row offers dual zero-gravity independent seats, enhancing the overall sense of luxury.

For smart features, the new car is equipped with the God's Eye advanced driver assistance system. A roof-mounted LiDAR supports assisted driving on both urban roads and highways.

The Tang series is the flagship SUV lineup of BYD's Dynasty lineup. Current models on sale include the hybrid Tang L DM and Tang DM-i, as well as the pure electric Tang L EV, with starting prices ranging from 179,800 yuan to 289,800 yuan.

The series sold 154,908 vehicles in the full year of 2025, largely flat compared to 2024, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

BYD plans to expand its flash-charging stations to overseas markets by the end of 2026.
