Xiaomi's electric vehicle (EV) unit saw continued sequential delivery declines last month due to the factors of the Chinese New Year holiday in mid-February and the transition between its sedan's transition.

Xiaomi EV announced Sunday that it delivered "over 20,000 units" in February. As before, it did not disclose specific figures, which are expected to be released later this month by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

The unit delivered a record 50,212 vehicles in December 2025, which dropped to 39,002 units in January.

The Chinese New Year holiday from February 15-23 impacted both industrial production and vehicle deliveries.

"We are preparing for mass production of the next-generation SU7, " Xiaomi EV said on Weibo.

Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun subsequently said on Weibo that the vast majority of Xiaomi EV vehicles currently on sale and delivered are the all-electric SUV model YU7.

With the first-generation SU7 all-electric sedan officially ended production in early February, Xiaomi EV's primary sales focus has inevitably shifted entirely to the SUV model YU7.

The YU7 delivered 37,869 units in January, accounting for 97.10% of Xiaomi EV's total January deliveries, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

Xiaomi EV is now intensively preparing for mass production of the next-generation SU7. This new pure-electric sedan, expected to launch in April, will feature significant upgrades in its smart driving assistance system and core hardware configurations.

Xiaomi EV achieved total deliveries of 411,837 vehicles in 2025, demonstrating the brand's robust growth momentum and market recognition.

Facing a challenging 2026, Xiaomi EV has set its annual vehicle delivery target at 550,000 units, aiming to further expand its overall market share.

The company is expected to launch several new and refreshed models this year, with spy shots of two new SUVs recently surfacing.

Xiaomi EV aims to deliver 550,000 vehicles in 2026, following 411,837 deliveries in 2025.
