Xiaomi EV delivers 39,002 vehicles in Jan, with YU7 contributing 97%

  • Xiaomi EV's January deliveries rose 70.34% year-on-year, though down 22.33% from December.

Xiaomi (HKG: 1810, OTCMKTS: XIACY) electric vehicle (EV) unit Xiaomi EV delivered 39,002 vehicles in January, according to data released Thursday by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

This represents a 70.34% increase from 22,897 units in January last year, though a 22.33% decrease from December's 50,212 units.

Xiaomi EV said on February 1 that its January deliveries exceeded 39,000 units without disclosing exact figures.

The YU7 delivered 37,869 units in January, accounting for 97.10% of Xiaomi EV's total January deliveries.

This makes the Xiaomi SUV the best-selling model in China by retail sales in January, according to a ranking from auto media outlet Auto Home shared today by Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun.

Deliveries of Xiaomi's SU7 electric sedan series continued to decline as its facelift model approaches.

The SU7 series recorded 1,133 deliveries in January — its lowest monthly figure since launch — representing a 95.05% year-on-year drop and an 89.81% decrease from December.

Xiaomi EV began pre-sales for the updated SU7 on January 7, announcing its official launch in April.

On February 10, Lei announced during a livestream that the first-generation Xiaomi SU7 had officially ended production with the final unit rolling off the assembly line.

According to Lei, cumulative deliveries of the first-generation SU7 exceeded 381,000 units.

Xiaomi officially launched its first model, the SU7, on March 28, 2024, positioning it as a competitor to Tesla's (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model 3.

On February 27 last year, Xiaomi officially launched the SU7 Ultra, a performance-enhanced electric sedan based on the standard SU7.

The YU7, launched in June 2025, is a competitor to Tesla's Model Y.

In 2025, Xiaomi EV delivered 411,837 vehicles, bringing cumulative deliveries to 551,308 units.

Xiaomi EV aims to deliver 550,000 vehicles in 2026.

The YU7 GT powertrain delivers a total output of 738 kW (990 horsepower), surpassing the 508 kW (681 horsepower) of the YU7's most powerful variant.
