BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) has unveiled the first official exterior images of the Song Ultra EV, marking the start of intensified marketing for the electric SUV (sport utility vehicle).
The Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker shared two images of the Song Ultra EV on Weibo Tuesday, highlighting the SUV's dimensions.
Last week, BYD released a preview image of the Song Ultra EV on February 4, showing the model's general outline.
The Song Ultra EV is BYD's first B-segment pure-electric SUV in its Dynasty lineup and will be the latest addition to the popular Song series.
The model features battery packs with capacities of 75.616 kWh or 82.732 kWh, delivering CLTC ranges of 620 km or 710 km, according to a NEV catalog for vehicle purchase tax reductions released Monday by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
The Song Ultra EV appeared in another MIIT regulatory catalog last month, revealing its dimensions as 4,850 mm long, 1,910 mm wide, 1,670 mm high, with a 2,840 mm wheelbase.

These measurements slightly exceed those of the Song L EV, which measures 4,840 mm long, 1,950 mm wide, 1,560 mm high, with a 2,930 mm wheelbase.
The Song Ultra EV features a more powerful single-motor rear-wheel-drive system, delivering a maximum power output of 270 kW and a top speed of 210 km/h.
The Song L EV also employs a single-motor rear-wheel-drive configuration, offering motor peak power options of 150 kW and 230 kW.
The Song Ultra EV supports optional LiDAR integration and is expected to feature BYD's God's Eye B smart driving system, enabling advanced functions including urban Navigation on Autopilot (NOA).
No pricing indications are currently available for the Song Ultra EV. The Song L EV smart driving Edition starts at a price range of RMB 189,800 ($27,460) to RMB 249,800.
