- Li Auto is one of China's automakers with the largest number of self-operated supercharging stations.
- Li Auto began deploying its charging network in April 2023 as part of its strategy to roll out BEV models.

Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI, HKG: 2015) has reached the milestone of 4,000 supercharging stations, about six months after its 3,000th station was launched on July 29, 2025.
The Chinese automaker now operates 4,001 supercharging stations, according to data from its charging map. This makes it one of China's leading automakers in terms of self-operated supercharging infrastructure.
Beyond its own supercharging network, Li Auto's charging map integrates 3,419 third-party premium supercharging stations with peak power exceeding 200 kW, along with 76,937 third-generation fast-charging stations.
Its domestic peer Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866) operates 4,898 charging stations in China, including both supercharging and slow-charging facilities. Nio's signature battery swap stations number 3,729.
Li Auto commenced trial operations of its first ultra-fast charging stations on April 20, 2023, initiating deployment of its charging network in preparation for the launch of its battery electric vehicle (BEV) models.
On March 1, 2024, the company launched the Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), its first BEV model. Prior to this, all Li Auto models were extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs).
On July 29, 2025, Li Auto launched the Li i8 six-seat SUV (sport utility vehicle), its first pure-electric SUV and second BEV model.
On September 26 last year, the company launched the Li i6 five-seat SUV, its third BEV model.
The company experienced a significant sales decline over the past year as its EREV models faced intensified competition, while production ramp-up for the two new pure-electric models proved challenging.
Late last month, Li Auto informed some Li i6 order holders that their vehicle deliveries would be delayed due to insufficient battery supply. This occurred six months after the Li i6's market launch.
The company is adjusting its strategy, attempting to refocus on the EREV segment.
Earlier this month, Li Auto began previewing the updated Li L9, aiming to revitalize its flagship SUV through artificial intelligence (AI).
The next-generation Li L9 will officially launch in the second quarter, with Li Auto describing it as a generational leap.
