- Aito shared multiple images and a preview video of the M6, showcasing the model's exterior details.
- The Aito M6 will be unveiled this spring and is expected to target the RMB 250,000-level family SUV market.

Aito, the automotive brand jointly developed by Huawei and Seres Group (HKG: 9927), has shared the first official images of its new M6 model, poised to intensify competition in China's SUV (sport utility vehicle) market.
Aito and Huawei's HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) shared multiple images of the M6 along with a preview video on Weibo Tuesday, revealing the model's exterior details.
The M6 continues Aito's family design language, though its front fascia resembles the brand's most affordable M5 rather than featuring the full-width headlights seen on higher-priced models like the M7, M8, and M9.
The Aito M6 will be unveiled this spring, Huawei executive director and consumer business group chairman Richard Yu wrote on Weibo Monday.
Aito's current lineup includes the M5, M7, M8, and M9 — all SUVs offering both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) options.
Based on its naming convention, the M6 is expected to be priced below the M7's starting point of RMB 299,800 ($43,200) but above the M5's RMB 229,800.
Last October, local media outlet LatePost reported that Aito planned to launch the M6 in the second quarter of 2026, targeting the RMB 250,000-level family SUV market.
The new model will offer both BEV and EREV variants, aligning with Aito's strategy for other vehicles, according to the report.
The M6 will not replace the M5, which will continue to undergo updates, LatePost cited a source close to Seres as saying.
In China, SUV models are favored by consumers for their larger interior space, making family-oriented SUVs a key focus for automakers.
