Leapmotor delivers 32,059 cars in Jan, growing 27.37% year-on-year

Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) achieved year-on-year delivery growth in the first month of 2026, despite continued month-on-month decline.

The company delivered 32,059 vehicles in January, a 27.37% increase from 25,170 units in the same period last year, but a 46.94% decrease from December 2025's 60,423 units, according to data released today.

Since its inception, Leapmotor has cumulatively delivered 1,228,162 vehicles, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

In 2025, Leapmotor delivered 596,555 vehicles, marking a 103.1% year-on-year increase and achieving its annual sales target.

The Stellantis NV (NYSE: STLA)-backed Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker has set an even more ambitious sales goal, aiming for over 1 million vehicles in 2026.

Leapmotor aims to achieve annual sales of 4 million vehicles in the next decade and become a respected world-class smart electric vehicle manufacturer, said Zhu Jiangming, the company's founder, chairman, and CEO, at a December 28 event celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Current models sold by Leapmotor in China include the Lafa 5, T03, B01, B10, C01, C10, C11, and C16. Among these, the Lafa 5, T03, B01, and B10 are available only as battery electric vehicles (BEVs), while the other models additionally offer extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants.

New models announced by the company include the compact electric SUV A10, the large SUV D19, and the MPV D99, all expected to be launched this year.
