Under the HIMA initiative, Huawei has partnered with domestic automakers to launch five new brands: BAIC Group's Stelato, Seres Group's Aito, Chery's (HKG: 9973) Luxeed, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC)'s Maextro, and SAIC Motor's Shangjie.

On October 28 last year, HIMA announced that cumulative deliveries of models under the business reached the 1 million milestone, achieved just 43 months after the first vehicle was delivered.

The average transaction price for models under this business at that time was RMB 390,000 ($56,100). In China, vehicles priced above RMB 300,000 are considered premium models.

Aito is the first brand launched under Huawei's HIMA business, debuting on December 2, 2021, as one of the premium automotive brands under this umbrella. Focusing on the SUV (sport utility vehicle) market, its current lineup includes the Aito M5, Aito M7, Aito M8, and Aito M9.

The most premium brand under HIMA is Maextro, whose sole current model, the Maextro S800 sedan, starts at RMB 708,000, making it one of the highest-priced vehicles in the Chinese market.

Shangjie's sole model, the H5, is the most affordable under the HIMA umbrella, with a starting price of RMB 159,800.

Luxeed currently offers the Luxeed S7 sedan and Luxeed R7 coupe SUV, targeting the RMB 200,000 to 300,000 market segment.

Stelato currently offers the Stelato S9 sedan and Stelato S9T wagon, both starting at RMB 309,800.
